Lisa B Makes a double Silver find to close out 2014
I went detecting for a couple hours yesterday and had a surprise, it was a 2 silver day! 1892 Barber quarter and a 1917 Standing Liberty. Both coins where in the same hole, under some twisted metal, 1 mason jar lid and a lot of broken glass. It was a spur of the moment hunt, only had my F75 and shovel in the car and had to hunt without a pin pointer so I really had to work for those two coins, but well worth the effort...

Tony was trying out his new Whites V3I in Concord Twp and found a 1783 Gold 1/2 Spanish Escudo. Nice way to start out the new year and break in a new machine.

Community Service Hunt Saturday 8-16-2014
This past Saturday we had 12 members attend a community service hunt to look for a lost Gold Ring. We searched and did not find the lost ring but we did find alot of clad and other do-dads. Tara found a silver ring, Mark found a musketball, Adele found a horseshoe and Steve even found an engraved pen belonging to the property owner. We will have to return another time to try to recover the lost ring.
